Ingredients
- 6 chicken eggs
- Cold water and ice cubes, enough for an ice bath
Special Equipment
- Air Fryer
How to Make It
- Preheat the air fryer to 135°C (275°F).
- Arrange the eggs directly in the basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 10 minutes. Cooking time varies with egg size, starting temperature, and air fryer model; allow extra time as needed until both the whites and yolks are firm.
- Meanwhile, prepare a bowl of cold water and ice cubes.
- Carefully transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath using tongs or a slotted spoon. Leave for about 5 minutes, or until cool enough to handle.
- Gently tap and roll each egg to crack the shell, then peel and serve.
Kubo Tips
- This recipe uses 135°C for 10 minutes. Larger eggs or eggs straight from the refrigerator may need longer.
- For your first batch, check one egg before serving and adjust the cooking time for your air fryer.
- Keep the eggs in a single layer so hot air can circulate around them.
- Cool the eggs promptly in an ice bath to stop further cooking and make them easier to handle.
