Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken
  • 400 g potatoes (about 2 medium)
  • 300 g carrots (about 2 medium)
  • 250 g bell peppers (about 2–3 medium)
  • 1½ tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp chicken powder
  • 600 ml coconut milk
  • 25 g ginger (about 1 thumb-sized piece)
  • 15 g garlic (about 4 cloves)
  • 20 g onion (about 1 medium)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 4 tbsp cooking oil
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch-and-water slurry
  • Sugar, to taste (optional)
